Playing the course is a visual delight as well as a great test of golfing skill. You will be pressed to play almost every shot in the book and you’ll thoroughly enjoy the experience. Here we’ve detailed the outward 9 holes. (Yardages from the yellow markers) |

Hole 1 Baljaffray 350 yds A testing opener that gradually climbs the first of many gentle hills you’ll encounter on your round ending in a plateau green. |
Hole 2 Orr’s Rest 153 yds A short par 3 that will catch you out if you’re short (mind the bunkers !). |
Hole 3 Elbow 411 yds A fabulous par 4 slight dog-leg (blind !). If you line up with the clubhouse and skirt the trees on the right, you’ll find yourself at the bottom of the hill with an easy 2nd. |

Hole 6 Hog’s Back 410 yds Not a difficult hole if you keep it straight. But be warned trouble awaits with trees both left and right for the wayward. |
Hole 5 Whins 367 yds Aim your drive to the left of the marker to ensure you stay clear of the trees on the right. From the crest of the hill it’s some 175 yds to a two-tiered green. |
Hole 7 Port Lucy 183 yds A lovely par 3 with plenty of bite ! Bunkers guard the green on the left while gorse lines the green to the right and rear. |
Hole 8 Road 461 yds A tough undulating dog-leg par 5. Your drive must be aimed right of the trees to have any chance of a shot at your birdie ! Out of bounds on the left. |
Hole 9 Perfection 410 yds Pretty much says it all. A fantastic hole that will test even the better golfers. Your drive must carry to the crest of the hill to stand any chance of hitting the plateau green in two. |
Hole 4 Westward Ho 350 yds A challenging 350 yd test if the wind’s blowing from the west. Out of bounds on the left and a blind bunker at 200yds on the right. |
